MUSIC CD-ROM

Not a library-related question but... If you purchase a musical cd-rom
how would you be able to know if it is also capable of playing a video?
I heard that some are encrypted with this feature but cannot see
anything written on the case or the cd-rom itself that alludes to this.
Can anyone help?
