I have used THE LIBRARIAN FROM THE BLACK LAGOON by Mike Thaler.  It's one of
the series that has the teacher, principal, etc. from the Black Lagoon.  It
is wonderfully "over-the-top" exxageration that is fun for all ages groups.
After the reading I compare OUR library AND me to the scary one in the book.
