Netters:

Please excuse the (somewhat) personal nature of this request, but it may be
of interest to many of us in the future (and I'll be glad to post a "hit").

My daughter is planning travel through Europe (mostly southern France and
Germany) by rail pass this summer with a group of friends. How easy (or
difficult) is it to send e-mail from Europe if you are traveling? Do the
youth hostels or public libraries have terminals to send/receive e-mail?
Train stations? Where else might one find access? Or, could one rent a
portable phone while in Europe, and would it be usable all over Europe?

Thanks!
