Just saw a couple of the posts re JUMP and have to say that having seen the earlier posts I picked up a couple of copies at the doctor's office. In my humble opinion as an elementary librarian and mom of two girls, 15 and 11, there is no way this mag is appropriate for an elementary school. I would question it being in a middle school. And I would wonder just how much money a high school library has to spend if they bought it. I thought it was sleazy. I don't really think I am a prude; for example I am not yanking the old Teens (which I think is awfully similar to Jump) or the Seventeens out of my younger daughter's hands when she "steals" them from her big sister's room. As an aside, Seventeen still remains the best magazine for high school girls. So, in summary, lets not encourage publishers to publish this stuff.
