It has been with great interest that I have read the comments on the Harry Potter series. For those of you who want a more in-depth discussion of these books along with comparisons to others, what went into the American publishing version and comments from Arthur Levine from Scholastic, check out the CCBC-Net Archives (http://www.soemadison.wisc.edu/ccbc/netdex.htm) June, 1999. I found it to be fascinating and informative as well. Currently, I am on book 2 and my daughter is on book 1. Our local independent bookstore won't have #3 until September so I will wait until then to continue this wonderful adventure.
