Suggestions

Hello Everyone,
I am new to the list,  I am enjoying all of your input. I have read the
suggestions given  to the new media specialist that has written to the
list. I have saved all of them. I will be the media specialist this year
for grades K-12 in a small private school. I have taught for 17 years(
Pre- kindergarten and kindergarten) I am very excited about my new
position. What I really need help on is the 4-5,and 6-8 grades. I want
to make the library a special place. It is my understanding they haven't
had anyone that cared in a long time. Do you still read to 4th and 5th
grade? I plan on starting a storytellers group. I have a good friend
that does storytelling  workshops, she is going to help me. I would
welcome your suggestions.
