The following was sent to me by a LMT in my state. She recommends books that
for me have been hard to find.

Hi!! I've been processing the new titles and came across 3 math books that
you might like to add to your collection, if you haven't already ordered
them.
The first title is FERMAT'S LAST THEOREM: UNLOCKING THE SECRET OF AN ANCIENT
MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM by Amir D. Aczel 1996 1-56858-077-0
I've actually read this book, and is it not intriguing! The actual story is
woven throughout Math's history, and is quite suspenseful too. I thoroughly
enjoyed it! I believe your Math teachers will want to read parts of it
aloud to their students. The second title is THE JOY OF PI (My computer
doesn't have the symbol of Pi on it.) by David Blatner 1997 0-8027-1332-7
This small and interesting book is easy to look at and understand. I wish I
would of ordered two copies instead of one. I think teachers and most
students will like it equally. The third book is a bit more complicated,
because I don't understand Math all that well, but it is just as good. I
bet if I tried, I could understand some of the Math ideas this book
discusses. Its title is THE BOOK OF NUMBERS by John H. Conway and Richard
K. Guy 1996 0-387-97993-X The examples and illustrations are user
friendly, The authors use color illustrations in most examples to
illustrate.
That's all for now! Bye! Jean
