Picture books that teach Loyalty... any ideas

Hello everyone,

Our school is trying a new supplemental reading program that focuses on
character development and values.  It is called "Heartwood" and it will be
offered
as a kit by Scholastic.  It is GREAT!!!!!

The kit includes a box of very powerful and well known picture books
that help teach the concepts of Courage, Respect, Honesty, Love,
Loyalty, Hope and Justice.  Books like "Sadako and the thousand paper
cranes" are used to teach hope and courage.  There are about 4-5 books
per trait.  Each trait has a list of discussion topics, and questions
and activities.

Our third grade teachers are using this, and I want to support them in
the library.  Each Month will focus on a different trait.  I have come up
with 3-4 more books for each trait, but I would LOVE to get more ideas.
If you have LMGreat books or great lessons for any of the seven traits
please let me
know.
