I have a friend who wants a copy of a rather large data base which I have in Clarisworks 4. She has an Imac with Appleworks (Which I am guessing would be Clarisworks 5 if they hadn't reconfigured the company). I suppose the only way to get it to her is to try to send it as an email attachment--not something I have had much experience with. My questions are: Will her Appleworks open my Clarisworks file or do I need to save it as something else? If Appleworks can open the Clarisworks file, we both have Aol, so can I just attach the file as is. I tried this sending from my main screen name to a secondary screen name and it seemed to work. I am asking in advance about whether this will work because she will get very frustrated if she tries to open the attachment and can't. I think that if she plans to work on the computer both at home and at school as I do, she will really need to bite the bullet and get an external drive. Does anyone use one of those Imation super drives? Do they work well? I have used a zip disk here and on my Mac at school for years and have trouble imagining doing my job without it?
