Hello, all - Our school, K-5, will be beginning the year with an emphasis on test taking skills. Our scores on standardized and state required tests have lagged behind other similar schools in our area and so we are hoping to give our students some tools for approaching those exams differently. Many classroom teachers feel they have already been doing a fairly good job, but the new enrichment teacher and I would like to add something significant to the effort. She will be going into classrooms for some fun test taking "magic" and I would like to come up with something unique for the media center. Anyone have great ideas for linking media classes to test taking? As far as I can tell, our Indiana ISTEP tests do not include actual library skills questions, but I'm sure there's something pertinent I can add. Thanks for your input!
