TARGET, ELEM: new librarian

Hi Everyone,
     I'm starting a new job in September at a K-4 school that has 690
students.
I'm worried about learning everyone's name. Does anyone have some songs or
rhymes we can say together to help all of us learn each others names?
Maybe it's silly and I shouldn't worry at all but I feel much better when  I
know names.
     Also, the library is not automated. Does anyone have any ideas about how
to check out books to kindergartners without going through trying to get them
to write their names on the card? I want the kindergartners to love the
library, not to be stressed out about going there.
