Summer greetings. I'm working on a time travel (historic fiction) book for kids to peruse in my library. I'm illustrating and writing one page catchy reviews - in chronological order. So.... as I work my memory and don't have the books at home I;m using Amazon for help! So... I'm reading the customer comments on Sing Down the Moon and a serious issue of authenticity comes up. (There was an excellent article in Hornbook this year about historic fiction). I remember someone posted serious questions about the Dear America Native story earlier. Is there a Native American source for checking the quality of information in N.A. fiction? Is Sing Down the Moon filled with missinformation? Stay Cool!
