Budget! I had no idea what a budget for the library even was!

One thing I was not taught was how to fix photocopy
machines. It seems that quite often the library is
near the faculty room which has a photocopy machine.
In 2 jobs, I have been assigned the key operator position
to care for the machine. On the bright side, twice I have
been able to go shopping and choose a new machine.
Fixing the machine does make you very valued to teachers
and gives you a chance to chat while you're pulling out
the stuck paper!

I'm in my first year - and I wish I had been given the job of creating a
sample order for a specific population (YA, elderly, Hispanic). I'm
finding that I'm making up my own methods of ordering, and I'm not sure
if it's the easiest, most efficient way. I also wish I had experience
in facing parents who are challenging books or refuse to admit that
their child borrowed and/or lost a book. Sounds like a great idea -
