Overdues poem

To all of you who, like me, are still counting the days till end of
school: Here's my response to Shel Silversteins's overdues poem.

TURN IT IN!

The book you checked out
Belongs to the school.
You must turn it in;
It's the library's rule.
Search your classroom, your house,
Your mom's or dad's car.
We need all books back,
Wherever they are.
There won't be a fine,
So please return,
So that next year's students
Can use them to learn.
