In planning for next year's AR program, I would like to include some activities & plans to "pull in" the students reading on lower levels who desperately need some recognition for their self-confidence but who might have a mental block about taking the book tests or some other sort of difficulty. One thing we are thinking of doing is having a library book truck stocked with some AR books and having our reading tutors who come to the school regularly focus more on those when they read with children. Anyone have some successful ideas for helping out these students? I'll be glad to post a hit if I get responses.
