I recently ordered two sets of reference materials from Groliers:Colonial America and Grolier's Encyclopedia of Animals. To my surprise, I got a reply stating that these works may only be purchased by U.S. schools due to "territorial restrictions". Does anyone know what these territorial restrictions are and how can I go about ordering these two sets of reference works that I need badly for my library. Our materials are brought into Ecuador by a U.S. jobber. I don't understand why Groliers would place restrictions over who is going to use these books. By the way, my school is located in Quito, Ecuador, and we serve a large population of American children. Perhaps other international educators have had similar experiences and can give me a word of advise.
