Greetings from Tanzania! The problem is that some publishers, such as
Groliers, publish items that are available elsewhere from other publishers.
Eg., Hamlyn in the UK might be the original publisher of a work and
Groliers simply republishes the same thing under their own imprint.
Unfortunately, they might also publish the title under a different name
and, even, publish it in different formats (as a single volume and as a
multiple volume set), so it gets quite complicated. And, unfortunately,
too, even the Library of Congress might not be able to sort it out for you
by accessing their cataloguing records, by providing you with the original
title/publisher, etc.

So, what to do? Well, some international schools have agents in the United
States and you can order through them as if you were living in the U.S.,
jobbers like Baker & Taylor, Brodart, Ingams, etc. might be able to get it
for you. Or try looking these items up on the LC site - watch for similar
titles that are published esp. in Britain. Try looking the title up on one
of the used book sites on the internet, since quite often I've found that
the Grolier titles were originally part of a mass marketing strategy of
buying one volume of the set per month (first one is always free!).

Isn't it frustrating?

('Course here in Tanzania, we've received our last order but no one
anywhere knows what happened to the original one of 2 years ago)
