Gen: We're Finally Automating

We are automating in our middle school:  please help with your
suggestions of how to have students check out books.  Can they really
carry an ID card with bar code as so many high school students do?  Or
do you have a rolodex with pictures and bar codes on them?  Please
respond to me directly.  Also, to access the Internet, do any of you
require student "licenses" on a card that has a sticker that shows that
parents and student have signed an AUP?  Where can you get such stickers
that can't be removed?
