MID: Immigration stories

Ah - we're into post planning and a 7th grade Language Arts teacher
stopped to talk about Next Years curriculum (:)))))))) OH BOY OH BOY)
Anyway - she wants to do immigration stories. I checked my files and had
a hit from Oct 97 for fifth graders.
She wants to use "A Jar of Dreams". I, also, suggested Maniac Magee for
it's black/white separation and integration. They do World Geography in
7th grade and would like to tie Language Arts and Geography together!
Any suggestions?
