Hi there, I'm writing again for some suggestions and advice. I have an encyclopedia set that I was going to order for the 7th--8th grade science classes, but then I wondered if they are age appropriate. Can you help me? The set is THE NEW ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SCIENCE by Oxford Press, (includes titles such as MATTER AND ENERGY, GENETICS AND EVOLUTION, CHEMISTRY IN ACTION). We desperately need books on chemistry and physics, but are these too difficult? If you have any suggestions , please write me. Also, does anyone have some good titles on the Transcontinental Railroad (4th grade), Native Californians (4th grade or there abouts), the Gold Rush, Circuits, Batteries and Bulbs (4th--5th grade)or Science Fair projects using electricity and circuits? thank you in advance for any help you can give, from Helen Dittmer, Redwood Day School librarian, Oakland, CA <hdittme@ix.netcom.com> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
