Some librarians have the unfortunate assignment of administering a centralized textbook depository. We are thinking of centralizing our texts into one room and are asking questions about how much staffing that requires, etc. A couple of schools around here use Follett textbook plus for the management software but if there are other options I am unaware of them. If you have insight for me other than "Its a Nightmare!!! Don't do it", please write. I want facts and figures, particularly--does it save your school money to have a textbook room and how much staffing is required? So far, I have been promised that the text room will not be near the library and the library staff will not be asked to work in it. Thanks much! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
