Miami & Honolulu - Great libraries to visit?

Dear LM_Netters,

I work in a K-12 independent girls' school in Tasmania and we are looking to
develop a new library/information centre in a couple of years.
To this end my principal will be visiting the US after Easter this year and
he would like to check out exciting school and public libraries
incorporating state-of-the-art technology in Miami and Honolulu and their
surrounding areas.

I would be very grateful if anyone can suggest interesting sites which he
might visit in April or May.
