I read the eSchoolnews article and was a bit dismayed. On the face of it, the article appears to state that students don't need books to do research. My 'gut' tells me that what's really going on is that students are not required to do research at all, just to look at recent resources, class notes, etc.. How else can you justify the lack of books in an undergraduate library? What's equally appalling is that the faculty have bought into this! Laura R.
