Hello to all!  I am a library media specialist & technology coordinator in
Western Kentucky at a K- 5 school (and new to this list)  .

I am currently working with a  primary teacher (grades 1& 2) in my school to
locate  classrooms across the U.S. to participate in a state study.   The
class will be gathering Kentucky "keepsakes" and information and sending it,

along with a "Furry Friend",  to participating schools.  We would like for
other schools to keep the furry friends for several weeks, email us about
the
adventures of the furry friend & your classroom.   After the visit, the
furry
friend would be returned with information and keepsakes from your state and
the visit.   We plan to map the travels of the furry friends and post
his/her
adventures on our school web site.  This should be a fun and exciting
learning adventure for our students as well as a way to make new friends
across the country!

interest.
