REF: Biographies--neither sports nor history

Dear LM_NETter's:

Due to a new demand from a novels class I need biographies and
autobiographies.  I have the usual historical and some sports biographies
but the kids want something else, more fun, more recent.  They have
suggested Helter Skelter and Gorillas in the Mist.

Do you have any ideas?
