ISO: Elem Pattern activity in Media Ctr

Hi,

My school is doing a patterns activity half day, since our theme this
year is patterns.  Some classrooms are doing quilts, graphs, weaving,
etc.  In the Media Center, I will be having the students work with a
great  pattern program from Tenth Planet on our 8 computers.  On the
other side of the room, my Library Media Tech will be doing another
activity, preferably literature-based--about 20 minutes at MOST.  We
were thinking of something that includes a hands-on activity--art or
something, and want to make it intriguing enough to interest kids of all
ages so they will choose to come in!

The way this works is:  for 2 hours, children just circulate through the
school, doing activities in different rooms.  We have done a health fair
this way and it went wonderfully!

I know I can depend on my wonderful LM_Net colleagues for creative
ideas!  Brin 'em on!
