Do you experienced hands have any great ideas for training K-2 students to put the books back on the shelves with the spine facing out? I am continually turning books around, continually reminding kids to put the writing out so people can see what book it is. They know what the "spine" is, but that doesn't help. Is this a lost cause, or are there some catchy little rhymes to help or some dazzlingly clear way to explain it so they say "Aha!" and get the point? I've been in public libraries for 10 years, and in school for four months. I love being in school, and the stories I bring home in the evening are much more fun than the ones from my old job! Thanks for your help! Rebecca L.
