grade 12 brit lit

One of the staff here, looking ahead to next school year is looking for
title of books  (preferably paperback)  for her 12 A  (that's below
grade level here) students to read that goes along with the 12th grade
curriculum which is British literature.  They use an anthology but she
would like to get them into some books that would interest them yet be
appropriate.

Any suggestions?
