The Hudson Valley Library Association (HVLA) invites NY, NJ, and CT
area school librarians to attend its 40th birthday celebration. The
featured speaker will be Ms. Lillian Gerhardt,  former editor-in-chief of School 
Library Journal,
 1995 Grolier Award  winner, and 1999 May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture Award winner.

The celebration will be held on Saturday, May 15, 1999 from 10:00 to 2:00 in the
 Imperatore Library at Dwight-Englewood School, 315 East Palisades
 Avenue, Englewood, NJ 07631. Lunch will be served. Please respond before May
5th to Sandra Latzer at Dwight-Englewood School (address above). To cover the cost 
of the
 lunch, please send a check payable to HVLA for $10.

 Attendees are urged to bring any memorabilia related to the advances
 in libraries since 1959.
