Hi Everyone, This has bothered me for years, and I wanted to know if any other school is experiencing it. The library distributes lamps for its AV equipment. Since our renovation in 1993, we have experience an excessive burn-out rate for EYB lamps for our overhead projectors, (mostly new Bell & Howells, but not exclusively). I switched to EYB-5 lamps two years ago, but it has not slowed things down. Changing EYB brands also has not made a difference. The electricians have checked room outlets and the schools electrical system, but nothing has been found. I have sent machines out for cleaning and servicing, but that doesn't seem to improve the situation. What makes this additional puzzling, is that the old overheads (25-35 years old) do not burn out as often. I will be purchasing new overhead projectors and have decided to try a different brand, just to see if that is the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or is this an isolated problem? Any ideas about the solution? Claudia Mahlman William S.
