A colleague asked today if it were true that the Great Wall of China can be seen from space. He thinks he has read somewhere that this has been proven a myth, but he can't recall where. What bothers me is that I think I can recall reading a similar disclaimer, yet I know I've "seen" satellite pictures supposedly showing this structure. Can anyone shed some light on this issue so that we might approach our second graders with confidence? Thanks for your help.
