Hi Group - here is a summary of the replies that I received: 1. Purchase the on-line version of Reader's Guide to use for indexing 2. Toss them 3. Have someone (student aide) add the index of each volume to automation data base (ie. Winnebago) - don't look at the whole project, just one volume at a time, and it won't seem so overwhelming. Thanks to all who sent suggestions - I still haven't made my decision - acutally I am thinking of not subscribing to RD for next year. The students do not read it for leisure and we have so much available on line (our state dept. of libraries has purchased several on-line versions for all libraries in the state). I have already dropped several titles and am mostly ordering leisure reading periodicals at this time. Linda Smith, Lib.
