Dear Peter et al., Yes, it was from one of the novels (I did give the title but I forgot to give the authors credit--Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder). As a huge fan of the show, I liked her comments, *but* it is an accurate discription of the library. Peter forwarded: >Oh, goodness. I think its a false alarm. This must be a passage from one of the "novels" that are inspired by the show. While the show certainly gives a warped view of librarians, it is in some ways a very flattering one. And while it is true that the library is certainly never filled with students, it is presented as the nerve center in the fight against evil. Somebody could have a lot of fun writing an analysis of the show I'm sure. -- Nina Jackson Franklin MS, Long Beach, CA njackson_lib@lbusd.k12.ca.us In literature as in love, we are astonished at what is chosen by others.--Andre Maurois Strong school libraries increase student achievement. -California School Library Association =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
