I have a work related repetitive stress injury (tendonitis) in both arms, the result of computer use. My injury has now been labeled permanent and stationary, and I am considered permanently partially disabled. My question is this: Has anyone on this list had a work related injury labeled permanent? Did you receive a monetary award as a result of your injury? If your injury later worsened, were you able to get medical care through worker's comp? I know this isn't directly library related (other than this is a work related injury) but I have seen it discussed on this listserv. I also checked the archives, but the information was I found didn't answer my questions. I would also recommend that if you have any pain in your arms, wrists, or hands, or numbness in your hands and fingers that you get it checked as soon as possible. Don't wait until the damage is permanent like I did. It is no fun having your arms hurt all the time. Please respond to me off list at ehart@supreme.cde.ca.gov. Thanks.
