Just read the two latest postings about librarians knowing everything and thought I would ask for the collective knowledge out there. I need brief information about the social climate during the time period that "Witch" is set --the 1600's. This is for a sixth grader who needs to set the scene for discussion of the book. I did a search using "Puritan" but nothing seemed appropriate. She has already used the WB Encyclopedia but that was too brief. TIA for your help and wisdom.
