Here's an interesting query from our physics teacher. Can anyone help? I'm not a Verne fan, so I'm useless here..... TIA. Jody I'm teaching a unit on light and optics soon. I read this problem in a physics text: "In a Jules Verne novel, a piece of ice is shaped into the form of a magnifying lens to focus sunlight and start a fire..." (This IS possible!). Does anyone know the name of the novel and/or have a copy of it I can briefly read? Thanks! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Jody Gerlock, Librarian, Upper School phone (609) 924-6700 ext. 241 Princeton Day School fax (609) 924-7278 P.O.
