Does anyone recognize this poem? It was submitted to a writing contest as an original entry (which it very well may be), but it seems familiar to me. I have checked a lot of the Silverstein & Prelutsky collections, and haven't found it, but I am wondering if it looks familiar to anyone else. Thanks for your help! At The Fair I'm going to ride the thriller ride The loop-de-looping chiller ride The one that climbs a mile high Then-whooooosh-comes dropping from the sky The ride that twists and turns and spins That sounds like squawking violins That takes your hat and breath away. Give me a ticket-but not today.
