We are looking for ideas for activities that parents could do with their children at home. Our goal is to do a variety of activities that will help parents get more involved with their child's academics. Some activities that come to mind are science fair projects or bird houses, etc. In conjunction with these activities we want to have supportive resources in the library. Do you have activities that have been successful in the past. We did a school-wide reading incentive for Read Across America and there were kids that never brought back a slip to school saying how much they had read at home during the whole activity. Our goal is to get the parents of those kids involved in their children's education. Thanks for your suggestions in advance. Sara Miller, LMS Wascher Elem.
