The other day my computer crashed giving me the blue screen with static. I turned the computer off at the switch and rebooted. However, I didn't get the message that Windows was not shut down properly and that Scandisk would run. The computer went straight to the Windows desktop just like it always does when I turn on the computer. I am using Windows 98. Is there a way that this feature can be turned on or off. Everything else is working OK and I can run Scandisk manually. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Madeline L. Buchanan, Library Media Specialist W. J.
