Suggestions for Travel Unit

DO you have any suggestions for a Travel Unit activity for 3rd grade?  The
computer will have them prepare a billboard on KidPix; the classroom
teacher will have them design a poster about the place they want to visit,
giving pertinent information about the location.  Today we discussed how
to prepare for
a journey  and looked at US Maps and books on
National Parks. But I need an activity to go with next weeks journey as
we travel around the globe. Any suggestions?
