Why is it that unless we are hip deep in children somehow we are goofing off. I too have children until the last dog in hung. I don't mind the kids, but it is frustrating when I have to come back and work until 2:00 am to get the closing up finished. Do principals really understand the amount of actual value the materials in the center represent. I know my little collection cost at least 70,000 . Would they be so caviler with other aspects the school's resources. Lack of care equals loss of the school's investment. Perhaps educating them on the amount of resources you are directly responsible for may help. Part of the problem is the teachers really don't understand that we too have a vital part in the school that requires us to do tasks that do not include supervision of students. Oh well , it's a good thing I like the school at 2:00 am . It's quiet, peaceful and I've gotten use to the idea that I am hanging out in a room that includes material written by a lot of folks who are now dead. Think about it.
