Dr. Laura is urging her listeners to try and convince Colin Powell to
cancel his speech at the ALA convention, to write to ToysRUs for
canceling their $150,000 donation to ALA to build children's reading
rooms, and to go to the ALA convention as a "conservative voice".

We must--those of us who believe that hers is an overreaction, to say
the least--also write to Powell and email or write to ToysRUs and
express our opinions. Please do that right now, at least by emailing
Toys with the address given below.

Write or Call And Make a Difference

Send a polite letter urging General Colin Powell to cancel his keynote
speech at the ALA National Convention June 25-30 if you feel the ALA's
position on pornography is contrary to your own.

withdrawal of support for the ALA's Children's Reading Rooms in
