Alice and all,
Our children are not the only ones who do and say silly things. I teach
an Internet course for adults. It is composed of 5 two hour sessions and
because we offer a Seniors discounted rate, ($10 for all 5 classes) we
get lots of retired people taking the classes. I am in my third week and
a retired student came up at the beginning of class and asked if I could
start the lessons over from the beginning. When I asked for a
clarification she explained that she had missed the first class, did not
have a computer, had never been exposed to computers before and felt she
should be getting her money's worth. After I got throught the week's
lesson (E-mail) I worked with her privately, did a recap and tried to
explain as gently as possible that maybe next time she should begin with
an Intro to computers course or at least practice on OPACs at the local
public library.
