A middle school librarian in my district wants to know how other schools deal with defacing library books. It is most prevalent with sixth graders. She has charged and held report cards but is still having a problem. She has decided that she is going to try to stop it before it starts and would like to know some strategies used in other schools. The last thing she wants to do is insult them so they do it more. Please e-mail me with your tried and true suggestions. Thanks for all your great ideas.
