Isn't there some CA Education Code about field trips and students permitted to go. Isn't a field trip an extension of instruction? Can you deny instruction to a student? Can you use the criteria of a student's performance (grades) or behavior (referrals) to go on a field trip? Can a teacher say: " I want to take you, but not you." or "The first twenty with permission slips, get to go."
