GEN: Cowboys classification

This week I found a cowboy book shelved in 636.2.  I thought it was an odd
place and put it on my stack of books to check.  When I looked in DDC 636.2
is cows and other ruminant animals.  I looked in the relative index under
cowboys and 636.2 is considered the appropriate spot.  I know my first
responsibility is to put it where my patrons can find it.  My first thought
is 978 which is the West, but I need to think this through.  I have no
assistant to bounce ideas off of.  Thank you for letting me bounce ideas
off of you.  Any one want to comment on where they have cowboy books or
where they think they should be?
