Need help from the techies among us: We just finished installing a new server and switches under the E-Rate program. We have Win95 machines running on a Novell 3.12 network. After switching to the new server, print sharing has failed in all of the remote labs (the library uses network laser printers and has had no problems). On the computer to which the printer is connected the Access Control tab on the Network control panel is set to "User-level access control" but the server name does not come up in the "Obtain list of users and groups from:" window. I have entered the server name manually, but on reboot the name disappears. The computer does not seem to have access to the list of user names (although in has rights to the proper directories in Syscon. On the old server everything worked fine. Any ideas about what could be set wrong on the new server or the switches? -- Anthony Doyle, Librarian Livingston H.S., Livingston, CA tdoyle@muhsd.k12.ca.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
