Greetings, We're living in a flood zone and waiting to see what's going to happen to the Fraser River. The snow pack hasn't started to melt yet and it's twice the size it was in 1948 when it last flooded here. A neighbor has started to pack up pictures and is moving them to a relative's house on the hillside. If you've gone through a flood, can you please give me some advice on what's best for the framed photographs and paintings. We thought moving everything upstairs would be fine. My neighbor feels that water in the house for however long would damage these things. Should I start packing?? School will be another story. Hopefully we'll have enough warning to save some things. Any words of advice would be appreciated. Randi Louise Hermans Teacher-librarian East Chilliwack Elementary Chilliwack, B.C.
