I was fortunate enough to meet Vivian Paley in Hays, KS this spring. She was most interesting and I know the book will be as interesting to many others as it was to me. The whole idea of non-exclusionary behavior did change the character of the classroom -- and the character of the children. Kudos to a great book and an author who was able to articulate her findings. Says something for in-classroom research. I bet a lot of those working in the "field" -- classroom teachers and library media specialists -- have much to say in regard to what has been found out about children and their behavior and way of learning.
