Gen: Channel One

While searching for something completely different and having read the
recent comments about Channel One -- I came across a site that caught my
attention.  It is a definitive paper written by an educator from the UK
outlining the pros and cons of Channel One -- the site
<http://www.aber.ac.uk/~jmcwww/1997/channel1.html> is worth taking a look
at if one is interested in the underlying controversies regarding
commercial ventures in schools.
